THREE MINDS ARE BETTER THAN ONE

All of us have three minds. The subconscious, the conscious, and the superconscious. But we tend to use only one. That is the conscious mind. The conscious mind is the logical mind which reasons, decides and acts. And while it is good enough to lead an ordinary life, it is not so useful when it comes to leading an inspired life with a sense of purpose.

THE VALUE OF THE PAST

The subconscious mind, the second mind, can help in this direction. It has all the reasons why we are as we are. It holds all the programs we have grown up with, both positive and negative. When we explore this mind, our awareness and self-knowledge grows exponentially. We can even consciously change negative programming and unreasonable belief systems which make us take what we deem rational decisions.

Understanding our past can transform our present and lead us to a fulfilled, purposeful future. There are ways to tap into this past very effectively. The most effective way, in my experience, is regression therapy, which takes one on a journey of self-discovery. Self growth work in any form, can help us step into who we really are and also give us ways to transform what no longer serves us.

For example, where success in life is concerned, you may have the best qualifications and the ability to work very hard, yet the results you get in your work life may be far from satisfactory. When you dive deep into the possible reason for this, you may discover that deep down in your subconscious mind, unknown to you, there is a core negative belief system of I am not good enough. Coming, say, from comparisons with an older sibling as you were growing up. This subconscious belief that runs 24*7 in the deep recesses of your mind can sabotage all your efforts in the present day work scenario. This program can make you behave in ways that make success impossible.

Or say, where relationships are concerned, your early childhood experience of your parents’ relationship can colour your thinking and build a subconscious negative belief that says relationships are torturous or that love does not last. This early programming will unconsciously draw to you partners who will play out with you the exact pattern of your parents, dysfunctional relationship. Once we realize this, we can consciously drop this pattern.

Even in the case of health, negative programming in childhood may be based on a fear of illness and can draw to you the very illness that you fear.

Your mind is very powerful and tends to create what you focus on every day. When you start to notice the thoughts floating through your mind, you can consciously learn to change them and so change your reality

THE LEAP INTO SUPERCONSCIOUSNESS

The third mind that we all have is the superconscious mind. When you integrate the knowledge of the past with the present, you are ready to tap into extraordinary mental powers. That is your superconscious power.

Healing the subconscious mind of psychological baggage and transforming the conscious mind based on that, brings a psychological calm. This calm is invaluable in being able to tap into our superpowers like intuition. When the conscious mind is clear and calm, it becomes quiet enough to access to wisdom and knowing. It develops discrimination. That is the ability to unerringly know what is right for us at a given moment. We can enhance the abilities of this third mind by spiritual practices like meditation. As our sense of Self grows in awareness and we truly start to understand and connect to our own essence, we realize the true extent of our powers. Who we truly are, emerges in its full glory.
